Really bloody confused! No pun intended! HELP :)

Postby ajl1239 » 02 Nov 2012, 08:24

So, I have a smooth stool, no blood on stool, the water or on my initial paper. But if I start pushing back with my paper to sort of more of the rear of my buttocks/crack and push down just a CM or two, I start getting dull-red blood on my paper.
Any ideas if this is more of a fissure or a roid? Sorry, I really trust you guys more than doctors who often can't tell the difference between the two...

Do you have pain when you pass stool?
Most of the time, (though not always), if you really don't have much pain when passing stool it is a hemorrhoid, and if you do have pain, the feeling like you are passing glass through your anus, it is a fissure. Tough to know for sure as there can definitely be crossover between the two. Have you been checked by a CRS?

Probably completely unrelated but I've had a similarish experience. I like to keep the area shaved for general sanitation and hygiene. I lightly scratched myself with a razor and sometimes after using the washroom there'd be blood as the scratch opened a smidge. It did sting a bit however.

If you're getting blood, probably best to get checked by a doctor. If it's at the rear of the anus, most fissures do occur in that area. However a fissure is usually very painful.
All the best to you.
