WOW - VAL _ absolutely SAME thing happened to me !!!!! I had only one big bleeding and never again, not even a drop. After that big burst of blood the whole hell opened up !!!!!! Before that it all felt more like slight irritation , than some pain started during bm-s but nothing EVEN close to fissure pain. Than pressure built up over time and every day was worse until that "BIG BANG" happened !!! :(

That same thing happened to me back in August. I got a second fissure of the year from a hemorrhoid that burst. Fortunately it didn't last as long but geez, just when you think it is all over---Whammo~!

you're funny! Also you're lucky to have had no bleeding, mine went on for ages and scared the hell out of me! Its strange thats how they can start, but kinda makes sense, because I suppose thats how it becomes an open wound.

i think I had the same thing happen. I felt something pop and I bled and now I'm recovering still from the hemmie turned fissure.

HUMBUG !!!! We can write the whole dissertation here while our CRS "scratch their butts " out of boredom #@$##$#@#!!!! maybe we should write a self help book with all "tricks of a trade" that we had to learn ourselves while they play with Botox and still don't know what they are doing or how to do it correctly >: /.

buttgirl, i got my chinese ointment from my chinese doc. it's called musk on the box and it is for fissures and hemmies.
if you haven't tried the VICKS vapor rub, then try that first because there is something in the MUSK that is a bit like the VICKS and it has a cooling effect - at least for me - but for some, it may be too much to tolerate.
