Chronic Fissure Success Stories?

Postby owowow » 19 Dec 2012, 09:09

Are there any? Please say there are....!
I been searching round the forum and finding a lot of "oh no it's back again...." posts even from those who have had surgery.
I'd love a little reassurance from those who have suffered long term chronic fissure and found a lasting solution...?

The news looks mostly dismal here because the only people who really have a reason to be here are the ones still suffering. The people who heal naturally move on with their lives and hopefully forget about their pain. There are many success stories.
There is always hope.

It's still early, but I had the LIS surgery weeks ago and I haven't had fissure pain from BM's at all since before the surgery. So far it appears to have worked.

I suffered with fissures for about two and a half years, tried Diltiazem cream and two lots of botox but it was the LIS surgery that finally fixed me. I had the surgery 20 months ago and following the recovery period, have been fine and pain free ever since.
