Hi Delasama,
My GI doc prescribed me diltiazem and scheduled a colonoscopy for a few weeks later. The diltiazem didn't take the pain away completely but it is helping a lot. I was worried that the colonoscopy would make my fissure worse but it didn't. just the same old annoying fissure. The doc did find and remove a pollup but says that it doesn't look like cancer. I go in for the follow up appointment on Feb. 1. I'm a little scared that he'll want to do LIS surgery. Have read some horror stories on this forum. Good luck and hang in there!
Sincerely,
-Dangading

How was the prep for the colonoscopy with the fissure? I am terrified of the prep more than anything!
