So glad you enjoyed the food, to have those magical moments in life once in a while, since my gallbladder removal in 2011, life and eating has not been the same to me, I grew up with spicy food, I mean my father used to make hot sauce with home grown peppers that would burn a hole in your stomach, Image and I ate them.
I have been introducing some spicy stuff no much and so far is been ok.
I am glad you have a nice sleep, that is so important, people have not idea how important is for our mind and body to have a restful sleep, if we didn't need it we would not be falling asleep everyday.

Fortunately I have a prescription for Seroquel, which is an awesome medication for sleep problems. The dosage can be varied depending on if I just need stress relief and/or sleep ranging from 25mg to 200mg (or more).
So day 5 post op is going really well so far. I was a little too active yesterday so I was hurting last night and had to take 2 Percoset. Today will be do-nothing watch TV again! My trips to the bathroom are starting to become normal and less intimidating. My life is slowly coming back. Image

Doing better today, but still recovering. The pain has changed from burning to just soreness. Again, this is a much lighter and easier pain than before surgery! Still using the ice packs and taking hydrocodone (down from oxycodone). I am able to get some things done around the house without too much worry but I am still doing things slow and easy.
I have scheduled a haircut on day 10 post op, which is this Wednesday, and a facial on Thursday. Some pampering is needed here! :D

Be careful with the hair appointment, if they have to wash your hair for what you're getting done the position may be uncomfortable on the incision site! Enjoy the much needed an deserved pampering!!

Jessjess, I am happy for your recovery, but like mamalucia said be careful, you are still healing, give yourself the pampering you need, therapeutic massage is great for the body as it relax your muscles.
Enjoy yourself but be careful.

Thank Marg. I am an avid hiker so I know that hiking is prohibited for another 4 weeks as it is considered strenuous. I plan to get on the treadmill at the gym and do some light exercise next week (2 weeks post op) to get my blood (and bowels) moving better!
I want to do more but I know that I can't. The world will just have to be patient!

Thanks Jan, Ow, and Sav! I just went out for a while to get my haircut and shop for a new couch! Image It went well, except at the end of the haircut when I started to get a little bit uncomfortable. So I'm still not ready to go back to work at my 8-5 desk job.
I have taken no painkillers or OTC meds today and I am doing just fine. I feel a little dizzy I think from withdrawing from the pain meds. Oh well! After this ordeal I think I can deal with ANYTHING!
