Just wondering if anyone has tried syringing into the anus 5ml (or any amount) of olive oil every night?
I have been doing this for the last couple of weeks and it has really worked for me, I also do it if I feel itchy, or get a slight twinge or if I feel a BM coming on. I also try to make myself relax and trust that it wont hurt when I go and it doesnt, my stools are really soft. It is really easy to do and I dont find it messy, and I like it as it all natural.
Also when I used to feel around my anus the muscles felt rock hard (I guess spasming) but now it feel soft and normal.
I realise everyone is different but interested if it has worked or hasnt worked for anyone else?

Yes, I've been doing that and it's working well for me too, though I also use coconut oil and a dilator, so I'm not sure what is really helping, but I've been doing better lately.

Do you need to use a syringe? How far in do you put it? And how far in advance of a BM is ideal?

Without a syringe it's impossible to get any amount up there.
I'm not sure how far in advance, but you can do it before going to bed and then in the morning everything is ready to go :)

I just started using Olive Oil today. I bought an enema bottle, cleaned it out and put oil in that. Seems to work OK. Been a few hours and the (thankfully) minor-ish pain I've been feeling for the past three days seems to have calmed down.
Ask me again after my next bm lol

My stool comes out okay, I feel a little pain....its the spasm that are killing me a few minutes later. Are you having spasm less because of this? If it weren't for the spasm, I could handle the pain of a bowl movement.

This sounds like it would have a similar function to the cocobutter or Vit E suppositories that many people here use. I found the cocobutter helpful, but it has yet to cure me.

jinglecy hi, there, yes the things we do to trying to get relief.
I tried the olive oil, messy but works as a lubricant just like Vaseline that is why it feels better for you.
I also tried grapeseed oil, that one contain lots of collagen and collagen is good for the skin to heal, also messy, coconut oil, vicks some online creams ointments you name it.
I decided to just use old Vaseline to ease the irritation of BMs and Carlson suppositories.
But hey, girl, anything is just as good if it makes us feel better. :D

what kind of syringe do you all use? Buy it at the drugstore??
