Laying down

Postby ohboy04 » 01 May 2013, 07:18

I've read everywhere that laying down is the best option for helping the fissure heal but every time I lay down is when I'm most uncomfortable.
Oddly, sitting down is the only time I can get comfortable.
I'm about 2 weeks and 2 trips to the ER and was just told Tuesday that it is a fissure.
There is a bump, no blood in stools, no stomach aches, but I do get testicle pain which seems to get worse while laying down.
I find myself even sleeping in my chair to help manage the pain.
Anyone else have problems like this?

Yeah I used to get testicle pain too from spasms. Been on miralax for over two months now. No more spasms.

Are there any tips out there on how to get comfortable laying down?
I'm just in a heap of pain laying down.
Just not getting any sleep and it's starting to wear on me. I can't handle this anymore.
Find myself questioning if there is a god.
If so, he's an ass.
First my eye disease and now this.
What else?

I am female, so not sure I can help with this.
I have pain when laying down, though it is better than sitting.
I use heating pad while laying on side and sometimes before bed. It is low heat and automatically turns off. If I am awake, I am turning if off/on at times. It helps relax the area and the back pain that is aggravated by lying on side.

I find laying on my left side with legs curled up helps. I think it might be the way it removes pressure from the area by positioning the colon, but I know it works for me.
Mid-night, I switch to my stomach with my legs elevated so I don't wake myself up needing to poops.
