i forgot to take my miralax today, and im really scared that i am going to retear if a have a bm. i have already had one, and although it was not painful, i am sore and i think that i have retore a little.
is it too late to take miralax to have a soft stool for my next bm?

It wouldn't hurt to take it, have you had alot of fluids today? I would take it

yes i have been drinking a lot of fluids today. im going to take it b4 dinner tonight.

I take mine in the morning but sometimes I forget and have to take it later that day. So far it really doesn't seem to make a huge difference for me, guess it depends on your overall diet. I can only tell a difference if I've been bad about water and diet, which doesn't happen often. My guess is being uptight about not taking it and tearing will do you more harm then not taking it on time...relax, stress causes constipation(believe me I know )

I never got worried if I skipped a dose.. This is my reasoning.... if Miralax takes three days to effectively work on your system, then in its absence, the same should continue to last for three days as well.
So do not worry. I have done this multiple times, as it's the only way to find out when to stop Miralax.
