Does Miralax causes gas and bloating ? It is making my AF worse.Is there anything to avoid gas ?

When are you taking the Miralax? And what's your dosage? I have to take Miralax at bedtime- if I don't fall asleep within a hour or two of taking it, the gas gets really uncomfortable for me. So it helps me to fall asleep quickly- I have a BM in the morning, then I'm done with gas and bloating until I go to bed. What's your routine?

I take Miralax after breakfast and before going to bed.I got AF in March and had no idea about it.It got worse in May and i started taking Miralax since past 2 weeks.

I haven't noticed any increase in gas with miralax. I've been using it for weeks now. I have noticed gas when I also use metamucil.
I do take the miralax right before bed, and I usually have a morning bm (after my bus route), and sometimes another in the evening.

My BMs are not that painful as before because of Miralax but I feel bloated and have gas and makes AF worse

I'm so very sorry. I know too well the pain of AF. I've been pain free for a bit because of a wonderful product my CRS Rx'ed for me. It comes from a specialty compounding pharmacy called Total Pain Solutions. However, I think I may have a new fissure or an extremely unhappy hemorrhoid. My pain has peaked again. Surgery for me is day after tomorrow. The pain is going to be exponential at first. ( anal exam under anesthesia, LIS, hemorroidectomies, and colonoscopy)
I sure hope I will experience relief after the recovery process. I hope you find relief too.
