I need some hope!

Postby Please go-away! » 13 Jun 2013, 08:58

I went to see my Gastro, Doctor yesterday.  I wanted my older sister to come into the room with me to get more questions answered because i didn't feel my Doctor was being very helpful last visit.
I'm from Ontario Canada, and I asked my Doctor why I felt the 0,2% Nitroglycerin and Xylocaine 5% compound wasn't taking away the pain.
My Doctor asked me if I'm applying it to the right spot(where the pain is)...Well the instructions are to apply a pea sized amount to Anus. I told her I'm not dizzy or getting headaches..so she gave the OK to apply twice a day and focus where the outer fissure pain starts. It seems to be dulling the spasm related pains, I hope.
Stick with foods that are the highest amount of fiber, such as Kale, baby kale and other  leafy greens combinations. Blueberries. Oatmeal and legumes, chickpeas, Almonds (natural)
She wanted me to stick with Metamucil, but I told her it gave me bad diarrhea. I asked her about Restorolax  (Canadians equivalent to Mira lax) It can be taken in a cup of weak tea at night before bed.
This morning, I had oatmeal with blueberries two large glasses of water..and then some.  Felt a bowel movement come, let it come after some discomfort, sausage and long with some blood..I immediately cleaned up,and applied my ointment because I know the spasms of pain would start to come and intensify.
Well I hope I'm not going to go through this all over again, at lunchtime. Lunch will be a baby kale mixed greens with chickpeas, with two glasses of water or more.
My doctor has made a referral to a fissure rectal doctor.. just to talk and aid in suggestions or see whats up-down there.Image..that made me laugh..ouch..
I will be seeing my Gastro, in about three weeks to see my progress as well.  It's amazing when I brought my sister in to the doctors room, for support the answers to my questions and my sisters concerns started getting answered.
I need hope as we all do, I'm not strong enough, I'm tired of the pain, no life, constantly bed ridden and the over-all I just want to end it alllll. I hate it..I hate it.
I need to hear that there is hope, that soon this will be over - Please  please go-away.

I think that it will be best for you to see a colon and rectal surgeon (fissure rectal doctor sounds about right).
Always good to take your sister along. Very good idea.
I know that it is difficult, but in the end (sorry for the pun), it will come right.

I take 400mg liquid Advil - before I go to the bathroom, I think this helps with the post pain.

There has been some set back...I'm so clogged up that I had to finally go early this morning to the emergency. Being so early in the morning, around 7:00 am I got through pretty quick.(Brother dropped me off, sister picked me up, I was a walking pumpkin)

The E.R Doctor remembered me, Since I was intubated, put into a induced coma because my throat was closing up on me,(11 days) due to some allergy/cold. which of course caused all these symptoms, fissure, constipation and the like.
He said o.k.your stuffed to the gill, very painful and we don't want to re tear, if we can help it.So he chose a very aggressive plan, of
1.  Citramag, half the bottle at 4:00 (soon)The other half tomorrow.
2.  APO-Lac. 30 mls( a special measured dropper)Morn/nite. (for a month).
3.  Stool softener, Morn/Nite until I ether see my Gastro Doctor, to re-evaluate or have my G.P Doctor, set me up with another Gastro,
or anal specialist, affiliated with her Hospital.
Thank you 3 years now , I will take the Advil, The E.R Doctor said I could. Thank you Saviaci, as well I appreciate every bodies advice,
it helps us all.Image
