Is this common for an AF

Postby MONI07 » 16 Jun 2013, 23:11

I do regular bowel movements with no blood with only 1 slight bit of blood in the last 2 weeks, which is great, but now I seem to have another problem. After a bowel movement I'll wipe and the paper will be clean and all good. Then an hour later I'll go and pass urine and wipe and i'll then have smears on the paper and I haven't even had a bowel movement? Is this something to panic about? I'm mentally an absolute mess at the moment.

Sometimes I have blood long after my BM too. It's not a lot, just like a tiny smear or a tinge of pink on tissue paper or wipes. Maybe it got irritated when you were moving, or when you were sitting to pee? I notice that's what happens to me. As a woman I've had to learn how to pee standing up (ridiculous, I know) because it hurts too much to sit or even bend at all.
Hang in there! I know I'm trying to.

It wasn't blood smears it was feaces (sorry TMI) smears on the paper. It only seems to happy in the first couple of hours after my bowel movement and then it's fine the rest of the day. I'm not sure if it's the spasms or the stool softener causing something like this?

Don't worry, it could just be a small bit left over... Lots of us get that. I also find that as I'm so lumpy and bumpy down there I often need to go back for a second clean up.

I'm very same could have to go back a few times to clean up. I think because we are so tight down there it doesn't all come out. Try not to worry Image
