Do you find sitting comfortable with fissure?

Postby pinpin » 15 Jul 2013, 07:21

Hello,
I am just curios, how do you sit? And manage sitting with fissure and your daily life?
What about slipping sitting on the chair? I find it very painful, so it better sit and don't slip.

I found it very difficult to sit in a car. I was always propping myself up to sit on one cheek.
Sofas are ok.
I've bought an inflatable neck travel cushion to sit on in the car. It's brilliant.
I couldn't however manage a cinema seat so avoiding them.
I find sitting on one cheek causes horrible pressure points and my sides ache. It's getting easier, but worse after a BM.

In a word, yes!
I got by with a soft pillow. That was better than any other option for me.
Apart from the car, those bare wooden chairs were the worst in restaurants and places! I was forever doing the bum shuffle to get comfortable and also feared I was going to do myself some secondary injury in my lower back by some of the positions I found myself in!!...........

I bought a Donut cushion but ended up using it rarely!!! It really didn't help unless I placed a soft pillow on top of it!!

I only blew my cushion up slightly just to raise me up. Worked wonders.

As a professional driver, I would hide my uncomfortable feelings down there, by just using overtly shifting motions as if I am trying to see out of my mirrors better.
Only I was really trying to find a position that my fissure liked the best.
I think the sitting on a hot water bottle is a great technique, but at the time of my fish I was to uninformed to have tried it. Give it a try.

I found a donut pillow would separate my cheeks and cause pressure,
I either use my heating pad or sit on a flat pillow, and sometimes press, ever so gently below my anus,(back side) now and then(was told by a doctor) to relieve the spasm, pressure, it seems to work, now and then.
