Greetings from Poland

Postby J-32 » 10 Aug 2013, 09:57

Hallo everyone.
My name is Jan and I am 32 years old. There are some polish forums that are focused on rectal problems but this one is far better organized than ours. However, different countries same problems. I am suffering because of haemorrhoid (stage II) and anal fissure which is much bigger pain for me.
During last 5 years I have tried everything - all kind of medicines (NG also), baths, gels, and visited 5 different specialist doctors. Of course I am on fibre diet. For last 2 months I am in pain especially in WC and after.
However, last week something have changed. I have decided to take next steps.
Yesterday I had Botox injection.
Could anyone answer me quick if you can feel Botox doing it's job in any way? Should my Sphincter be more relaxed already?
I can't feel any difference Image
If this will not work will go for a LIS.
Now I will go and read as much as I can handle. Sorry for my awkward English it's quite difficult for me to use it in this field.
I wish You all NO PAIN

Hello, and welcome to the forum :)
When I had botox, I didnt feel that much different, but the burning was gone right away. Yes, there were still pain, but it was more of a kick in the ass pain, and some shooting pain into my right cheek. When applying ointments, I didnt notice any difference in tightness, but I guess there must have been.
Give it a week or two, and then you should be able to see good improvement. Let us know how you are comming along!
Good luck.

Oh hallo!
Hmm... it seems that your reaction was something I was expecting to have. I felt similar "good" pain but only for 20 minutes after the injection. It worries me quite a lot. I was so excited that I forgot/didn't ask/wasn't told about the amount of injected Botox :( Unfortunately, since today, the doctor is on vacation so I will have to try to get the information at the front desk on Monday. I am seriously worried I didn't get right dose.

Hi J-32
You really need to give botox 10 to 14 days to kick in. I've had it twice but ended up with LIS in the end. When i had botox first my bm's were sore but better. Like JHH i didnt feel any difference down there, i dont feel loose even now feels the same. give it a chance to work.
I wish you well :)

Hi J-32,
I had Botox 8 weeks ago and it really took 2 weeks to fully kick in. I felt very bruised and sore for at least the first week and a half.... But I have had a lot of problems since getting Botox, I'm sure you will respond to it a lot better than me!!
Rest up, give it time, and pamper your bottom to give it every chance of succes.
Oh.... And welcome to the board!

I haven't had Botox, but I know a friend that has..and it did settle down.
I know that everything we do with these darn Fissures takes time.
