Hello beautiful people! I am on my way to surgery. I'm in pain now so I wonder how I will feel after surgery. I have an hour drive back home so I got a ring cushion. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I am more nervous of the unknown. I know God will protect me and I believe that my healing is on it's way. Over the last couple of days I have been back and forth about getting the surgery. The fissure is still painful but more tolerable. It is funny how things seem to get a little better when you decide to take a step to do something drastic about it. I know surgery is the best option for me because I have dealt with fissures on and off for 6 years. I'm ready for them to be gone forever! I think my anatomy down there is too narrow. This surgery will help loosen things up. Hopefully I can give an update today after surgery but if not I will give an update tomorrow, Lord willing. Those who believe in the power of prayer please say a prayer for me :)

I did what you asked for and now I keep my fingers crossed since Botox seems not be helping to me at all and I am about to do LIS.

Hey! I survived! I am on my way home now. Thanks everyone for the encouraging words and prayers. The CRS said that my fissure was bad and he could tell it had been there for a while. He didn't have to do an open LIS which is great. I have gauze and tape on my butt now. It almost feels like nothing was done. I guess I am still a little numb. I will post daily updates!

Great! Biggest step was done. Good for you.
Now it will only get better and better!

Oh thats great news I'm so glad your over your surgery :) 
Take it very easy over the next few days mind yourself really well. You will be back to normal in no time at all.
