Day 10
2 BM's/day
7:30 am
BM: 4 Bristol,
BM pain: 2/10,
post BM pain: 2/10,
3:00 pm
BM: 4 Bristol,
BM pain: 3/10, blood ( very thin mark along the stool) Image
post BM pain: 3/10
I think that BM blood was caused by haemorrhoids though.
Could feel the pain on my left side not in the AF area.
I am more and more convinced that haemorrhoids are cause and AF is an effect.
As long as they are still there AF will be coming back.
I was at work first day today, after a week break. I was going to heal the spot a little during that break.
Just great.

Day 11
same o ' same o '
BM: 4 Bristol,
BM pain: 3/10,
post BM pain: 2/10, 5 minutes, a little bit swollen until about 3 pm.
Not bad I think. However every BM it is a fight for me. I have to push to let it out. I think that these haemorrhoids are big issue. I use my hand to support and I think it's helping. Actually can't imagine BM without doing that. That is not good...
Quit suppositories.

Day 12
Aw.. Ouch!
BM: 3-4 Bristol,
BM pain: 3/10,
post BM pain: 2/10, swallen haemorrhoids = pain
I am out of a frying pan into a fire. Not really, AF is lot worse pain of course but still my haemorrhoids are painful now. I don't know whether it is botox or 3 Bristol BM or supporting butt with a hand.
I bring Lactulosum back. Shall see tomorrow  if it will help. Two table spoons today.
May the force be with you (maybe will help us to keep the diet sharp)!!

Day 13
Nasty haemorrhoids pain.
BM: 3-4 Bristol,
BM pain: 4/10,
post BM pain: 3-4/10, haemorrhoids pain, just a little of blood
I was going to have my CRS appointment on Tuesday. However I couldn't wait. Fortunately there was possibility to do it today.
Doctor couldn't even put her small finger there. Such a pain was that.
On Tuesday I am going to have sth. done with it (banding probably)
Decision regarding procedure will be made while I will be anaesthetised.
Sounds a little bit scary, but there is no way to check it now because of pain I can feel.
Image
Full scale attack on stool density since today - lactulosum 3xtablespoon/day plus paraffin oil 2 tablespoons daily
I got hydrocortisone ointment and some diosmin pills as well - these to treat haemorrhoids.
Image
If this isn't enough, I still have ketoprofen pain killers up my sleeve.
Still hell-bent on being healed!

Day 15
BM: 4-5 Bristol,
BM pain: 3/10,
post BM pain: 3-4/10, stripe of blood on stool
I can't really precise locate the pain but I don't think it is AF however it is very similar.
Haemorrhoids are my bigger issue now.
Looking forward to have it done on Tuesday.

Hemorrhoids (some) removed. And divulsion/dilatation was done.
Pain in the ass as someone would hit me there with a golf club :-(

Re: Me Vs. AF

Postby J-32 » 03 Sep 2013, 13:47

Ok, so one week ago I had surgery for these nasty piles. Mine were not huge but painful.
Interesting thing was said by CRS:
>>Hemorrhoids don't have to be big to cause huge pain and they don't have to be huge to recommend a surgery<<
I don't know exactly how many of them were removed but I asked CRS to take care especially about those on my 10 clock which were most painful (and exactly that was done).
It was not typical rubber banding, however sth. similar was done. Piles were band tight and the upper, painful parts were cut out. They use absorbable thread for banding.
CRS did also manual dilatation. It was done in order to help my AF to heal. I know it is considered to be a dangerous manoeuvre but it's really not if you don't do it to hard. Actually in last years this procedure is more and more popular in some European countries...
Of course there was some pain afterwards, since I had 2 in 1 :D
I can still feel it especially when BM, but this is obvious and the pain is comparable to the one I felt before. It's a little different pain though - a little bit stronger but also shorter. Yesterday there was also quite a lot of blood even 2 hours after BM.
I could also feel 'ring of fire' caused by dilatation, but only for one day.
Today I had really big BM caused by brown rice or another bread I had yesterday and yes it was painful for my AF.
But, it was also my widest BM in its diameter in last few years so  I have even named it - FREIGHT TRAIN STRAIGHT OUT OF HELL Image
I am sure it was caused by dilatation. On Friday I have a check-up. Hope to get information about surgery. Will ask about piles if there are any more left (me and CRS agreed not to cut all if there will be too many to avoid traumatic pain afterwards).
Looking forward to have these fresh wounds healed and let the dilatation do it's job regarding AF.
Surgeries are good - they give you hope.
I need it.

Hallo everyone!
So here I am. Five weeks after the surgery and I think it was successful.
I feel much better and almost no discomfort during the day.

Unfortunately in last days I had to do some business trips and I didn't stick to the diet. It caused fat Bristol 4 yesterday and minor bleeding. It was first blood in last three weeks. However, there was no tearing pain. Today I had similar stool and didn't notice any blood. I can still fell inconvenience when BM and also 2-5 minutes afterwards, but I am pain-free during whole day!
It's not comparable how I felt before and now >1 month after the surgery.

Sorry for not updating but I set a polish anal fissure/haemorrhoids/fistula board :naughty:
There are not many users yet, but it keeps me busy.

I couldn't log in using my "J-32" nick, but it is really me ;)

Feeling very well lately. No pain during BMs, no blood, no itching and finally NO DIET!
Seems that CRS are doing really good job here in Poland.

It was really not necessary to suffer for all these years. Actually, now I have to admit that it was rather very stupid.
I will try not to let AF tear ever again, but if this happens I will know where to go and what to do.

All the best to you AF fighters!
Keep strong!
