I had a terrible time logging into the new site but to make a long story short, I am hootinannie1 now. Not hootinannie.

My fissure causes me severe pelvic and back pain and I've been trying everything to just cope with my days. Dr. is now putting me on strong narcotics and antidepressants, as there is a 2 year waiting list for LIS surgery here (BC,Canada)-- I have to do something to deal with the pain. However, yesterday I did something which gave me relief. I put Voltaren (a topical pain reliever) on the small of my back and top of the buttocks. It really helped. I also have stopped using heat, as it makes the pain I have worse. I now sit on an ice bag and it provides some relief.

Thought I'd put this out there for those of you who have this kind of pain.
