I just discovered Balneol Lotion after reading about it online. It has been a godsend over the past week. It really calms down the pain and itching. It was expensive though. http://www.balneol.com/

It is extremely soothing to me. The bottle I got was small, I just put a dime size drop on my index finger and rub around the anus and just a little inside. The pamphlet talks about it helping the anal region obtain a ph balance which is necessary for healing I guess. In just 5 days, I feel so much better. It looks like I will always keep a bottle of this handy.

Applying it a bit internally stopped the severe headaches and side affects, as well working much better. Have been having issues myself for about 3 mths. Just had a colonoscopy and said everything was ok, just a fissure and to try to put the nitroglycerin ointment on with a q-tip internally and it is definitely getting better a little at a time. Putting it on just the rectum allows for some of it to get to your skin and cause the severe side affects. Good luck. Hope this helps.

I had an anal fissure surgery(LIS) back on August 8th, and i STILL have severe pain even after 5 sitz bath, percocets, and proctofoam aerosal treatments daily. It's now middle of October and i am NOT getting any better. What would help my pain??I cannot even drive my car anywhere without pain! URGGGGGGG!My surgeon won't get back in touch with me.
