trying manuka honey!

Postby beansbeans » 16 Oct 2013, 18:24

After reading about honey from this site, i decided to stop by a health food shop on the way home from work today to pick some up. There was some wedderspoon, but it was very expensive - so i got another brand. it didn't say "umf" on it, but it said "active 15+". there was a wedderspoon, and i noticed that didn't explicitly say "umf" on it either, it only said "16+", and as wedderspoon is very reliable on this site, i figured it was okay.

i just took a soak/sitz bath, and applied some honey on the outside, and about 1 cm inside; i didn't want to stretch it out too much! i will see how it feels tomorrow - keep you guys updated ;)

So it's been two days since I've been using manuka honey topically - and it seems to make a difference! Obviously I can't be sure its due to the honey as I've increased my miralax and am now having type 6 BMs so it is much less painful.. but I do think it's helping! I've had agonizing BMs about a week ago, but the day after I started the honey, the pain is a 2 or 3 on a scale of 10 whereas the first few days were easily a 9 or even 10! I apply it with my finger on the outside and about 1 cm in, I don't try to push my finger too deep. I apply 2-3x a day, right after my sitz baths because I find myself more relaxed down there immediately following, so its easier to apply. I also eat a little bit (from a different spoon!) 2x a day. It stung and burned the first few times, but now its just a light tingling for 5-10 post application.

I'm going to keep going, seems to work! :)

Wow - let us know! I tried wheatgrass but it did not work! Also am considering using Hyperbaric Chamber, wish someone using it had a success story for me!
