Diverticulosis is common over the age of 50 and becomes more common as you age. Diverticulitis is more serious, Anonymon, and only a small percentage of those with Diverticulosis will develop this. I have Diverticulosis. Guiness had a colonoscopy and she has not mentioned either of these being part of the diagnosis.
The trouble with these wretched fissures is, boring or not, you have to stay on a regimen that will make going to the loo easier in order to heal. And much rather now than later!
