I have less than 30 minutes before I began the Nitro...I'm excited, scared as hell and praying against all odds that it works. Question for Nitro users.......how soon to the dreaded symptoms began? And if I do have a bad effect from all this, do I just wipe it all off and the side effects go away? Last but not least, should I lay down after taking it just to be on the safe side?

Yes. Lay down for ten- 30 minutes after application. Most people do just fine after that. If you're sensitive, you'll feel light headed for a while. Very few people have it as bad as I did, but a few minutes of light headedness is pretty normal. Just be gentle with yourself. Its like having too much low blood pressure medicine in your body. Don't wipe it off, just ride it out and see if its manageable.

Gee, CoCo, thanks.......I'm still hedging, but I'm gonna go for it. I think with my blood pressure being already low...thanks to the stress and meds I'm taking, that's my biggest concern. But I'll let you know in a few hours how I'm doing....please wish me luck....I'm terrified at this point...and its way pass the deadline of 12pm. I just had some church people come by and I shunned them because I'm in too much pain for the Lord at this point and the true idiot that I am, I'm scared he, meaning God is gonna punish me for not taking the time out to talk to these ladies....I tell ya, when it rains, it pours with me (smile)....Now I got God guilt....will somebody please just shoot me and get this crap over with!!

Do it! Just take some entertainment into the bed with you and relax a bit after you apply. There's a 80% chance you won't get a headache. Frankly, I'm jealous of the people for whom this has worked. It sounds like a great treatment.

I consider crying for my mommy to be the purest form of prayer. After all, God is that which brings us all into the world.
Too bad the church ladies aren't there, they could have been there with you if something felt off when you took the medicine. Can you call them and ask them to check on you in a 1/2 hour? That would take care of both your safety concern and your God guilt issue. People love to feel needed.

My daughter ironically stayed home from work today and of course there's my retired husband....although he just left the house out of anger over me and the cream. As for my God guilt, I'm true believer that anything bad that happens to GG is all done at God's will and I deserve it.

I get the 'nitro' headacke within minutes. Usually along with dizziness. But its really nothing compared to the fissure issues...

I never get any symptoms other than spasm relief. Me and nitro go really well together, which I guess is lucky for me really !

Life is painful. That's a given, but God's will for me is simply that I know that I'm loved, even in the pain. I can't imagine how it must feel to think that somehow I caused this by being bad. I can imagine that you won't be doing this alone, no matter how many people you shun. God is unshunnable.
Human beings, on the other hand, are flawed and get pissy with us when we get stubborn. Put the dang cream on, lady. *ducks and blushes*

The side effects do subside once you get used to it(if you have any) you might not. I found it wasn't as bad as the Fissure pain. Do it
