Hi Fiss, thanks a lot for the info. Walnut Cr. is a bit inside the bay area, but if he is a good doc, then it is totally worth the travel.
Can anyone chime in about their recommendation for CRS in NY city? There are so many CRSs in the region!

After some online research, I booked an appointment with Dr. Nicole Kafka of NY Colorectal Care (I am in NYC right now). I shall let the boardies know how the appointment goes.

I visited Dr. Kafka in the morning. She has a nice clinic on Lexington Ave and is gentle and caring in her bedside manner. After the rather uncomfortable examination, she told me the fissure has healed but left behind some irritation/itching (possibly from scar tissue?), so the usual treatment of idiopathic anal itching. Hopefully it will heal me to 100% -- keeping my fingers crossed here!
