Hey everyone. I wanted to post and say that my fissure is healing well. Good soft fiber diet (prunes and other fruit), lots of water, and +12 UMF Manuka Honey. But now it seems like the sentinal pile I had at the top of my fissure has ruptured and may be infected. Anyone ever had a fistula? Or ...

If you're going to try honey, for safety I would recommend using a type of Manuka honey made for wound care such as Medihoney instead of food grade honey. I tried it for awhile. Didn't heal but didn't hurt anything. It does sting though.

This stuff works WONDERS. At around $20 USD, it's worth the try.

Be careful about this product, not all manuka honey is the same.. Midihoney is a genuine honey and made in New Zealand where the manuka trees are, there are a lot of fakes out there trying to cash in. Google 'manuka honey grades' and have a read
