If I keep taking miralax so everything is soft, is it crazy to try to eat little enough that I skip pooping for a day? In the past there’s always been a day when I just don’t need to go, and that has really helped. But this time, maybe due to all the fiber supplements the doc told me to take, it’s not happening. I feel like giving the cut a rest for a day would allow it to make some progress.

When you only pooped every two days, was the stool soft or hard. If your body only naturally needs to go every second day,and your stool is soft, then maybe you should ask the doctor if you can cut back on the Miralax.

Normally it’s every day, occasionally I skip one. In the past when I’ve been taking miralax, I’ll sometimes skip a day and it’s soft the next day. I think I’m taking too much fiber now to skip a day.

How did your fissure start if it wasn't from hard stools then I wouldn't be taking a softner or fiber even if it was a random hard stool that's not common for you then I wouldn't be changing my bms I'd just be going natural and doing sids baths after ever bm.
