I know Jen : ( - I do not understand WHY it is ignored when it is debilitating condition Image Image Image ! I still can not believe that they did not mention new treatments (creams, Botox, ), or gave names of stool softeners, or mentioned LIS Image . They just said it is painful and hard to heal and used banana peal to show how it looks (the crack- just fantastic teaching tool , OMG) and that it is common after childbirth or hard BM and than just started talking about hemorrhoids and general rectal bleeding Image .

Jen,
It was probably your imagination that people were staring at you!! My son in pharm school is also in the GI tract right now! It will be interesting to see if the profs cover fissures or not. He is already enjoying the tract because so many of our family members have GI issues, including his brother and myself. Image Image
