The Doctors

Postby Jen » 13 Mar 2009, 23:15

Hi everyone!
I didn't know where to post this, so I will just post it here.
I just wanted everyone to know that the clinic I go to (I think Fissy has been there too), The Center for Colorectal Health, will be featured on the television show, The Doctors, on Tuesday 17th. They might have some good information on the show.

Jen et. al.,
I consulted my tv listings and couldn't find The Doctors. Do you know what the channel is for it????? Maybe we don't have it in our area.
Thanks,
Cheryl

I think it is on NBC. It is on at 2 pm here, right before Dr. phil.

Cheryl or Kim -
Did you guys get to watch this? I missed it. I am the only person in the world without DVR & I will not allow my family to get it until I graduate.

I watched it - and good that I had nothing on hand to throw on my TV Image !!!! It was total fiasco and I am contemplating to write an e-mail and ask for a "re-take" since poor lady asked about the fissure and they talked about hemorrhoids 90% of the 8 min they had designated to the rectal problems !!! NEVER mentioned anything else but to keep poop soft, take fiber and blah blah blah Image !!!! Than lady-doctor showed some pads that are pre-soaked with witch-hazel and can be soaked in Comfrey (sp. ???) tea and put in the panties as a liners AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Image Image Image !!!! I mean, I am all about herbs and stuff, but it was just preposterous, to minimize the problem as big as a FISSURE !!!!!
The only positive thing was that they promised to send her to Center for Colorectal Health but regarding educating the public about this condition they did NOTHING - NADA - ZILCH Image

I guess it was not worth watching anyway! Thats too bad - I wished they would have answered some fissure questions. Everyone is so uneducated on fissures. In school last week, we had our GI lecture, and we talked about fissures...not one person knew what it was except me. For some reason during the whole lecture, I felt like people were staring at me, even though no one knows my situation.
