I had the Botox injections about a month ago after suffering for 3 months. The Botox injections helped and my fissure healed. My doctor suggested botox first rather LIS. I was willing to do the surgery because the pain was so bad, but I didn't need the surgery after the botox injection. The shots were a little painful but nothing compared the the fissure pain.Good Luck.

Hi I found that both the fissure pain and the tightness were less intense. It felt different to how It was when it all started but the fissure was still there and hadn't healed.
