LIS without pressure test?

Postby fraidycat » 26 Feb 2016, 14:53

The surgeon I recently saw said that LIS was an option for me (I can't afford Botox). She never mentioned any other testing, like the manometry pressure test I'm reading about here. Is this normal?

I'm terrified of the LIS anyway, and thinking this surgeon was jumping straight to it is freaking me out.

I had LIS with no pressure testing, and believe that very few people do.

My CRS didn't suggest a pressure test prior to surgery either and it seems that most do not.

This is interesting to read. I had Manometry and Ultrasound done and my CRS has ruled out LIS for me since I have "normal pressures". He told me there would be a good chance of incontinence. I am inclined to believe him since I had Botox done 10 days ago and I still have anal leakage.

Anyone else had a LIS after tests showed normal pressures?
