Like I say glucomannan is the best fiber. It's a fiber from japanese yam. It's super absorbent of water (it will absorb 200x it's weight in water) and doesn't turn hard in the intestines and it's not a scratchy grain fiber and it's not very bulking. If anything it makes poo softer. ---Just my 2 cents.

Can you believe that Whole Foods don't have it ??? I am still using Metamucil but wanted to try your prized helper ; ))) ! No luck, so far. Maybe I should order over the net ???
BTW, I am so glad you are feeling better Image

Buttgirl
what did you mean when you said it coats the poo? This is my second day with the flax seed and there looked like there was a bit of mucus stuff on my BM. This has never happened before.

I use flaxseed 3x a day in capsule form 1000mg. I think it helps alot coat the poo like buttgirl said to help slide out. I have never tried anything else though. I don't need any more bulk either so I am coservative with my fiber supplements.
Good Luck,
Patty

Butburngirl-
How are you feeling. I know you were healed for a while and had a recent setback. Are you planning on getting more botox?

That's what i mean when I say coats the poo. It looked kinda mucousy.
Fiss, that is funny. though I noticed that Whole foods doesn't have some of the less common stuff--they don't carry rutin either. You may be able to find it at your Rite Aid. I get my glucomannan in the Chronic constipation pills by digestive Advantage. They also have a probiotic in them.
