Marsh, don't walk out of there till a surgery is set up IF that is what you feel necessary for you. I know I've told this story on here countless times, but I literally told my doc "surgery or death"..I was that desperate.
I said "if you won't agree to perform the LIS on me, I'll drive TODAY to every CRS in the tri-state are till I find someone who will..that, or I'm gonna throw myself in front of a train..you don't want that on your head, now do you?" Scary part is I wasn't really joking.
Point is, I had considered the risks and decided that I had to have the LIS. I just wasn't going to live like that anymore.
My experience has been great (other than the bills, but hey, money is waaaay secondary when it comes to this..I was MORE than willing to go get a huge loan if I had to. It ended up costing me about $6300 (had a high deductible)..some of which I'm still paying off. but couldn't give a rat's ass since I can walk, sit, live again.
Good luck!
