In the past couple of weeks I have on a couple of occasions found blood in the toilet and toilet paper, or on my underwear, and it was coming from the backend, but oddly, it wasn't triggered by a recent bowel movement or even by much pain. It was a total surprise.

I'm trying to find out if others have had this experience and what it turned out to be?

A bit of history, I have had hemorrhoids and more recently an anal fissure, but the last month has been pretty good. No pain with a bm at all, I do regular 2x per day sitz baths and use lidocaine nifidepine cream. Since things have been so good that's why I am so surprised by the bleeding.

It looks like my PCP is going to send me to a GI specialist
