take the baths and try staying off your butt as it will be swollen and the less pressure from sitting- the better. Cleaning up after bm's can be a challenge and there's often a discharge from the surgery and possible mild leakage that will require bathing and cleaning quite a bit to prevent irritation.
Be sure and keep the same diet and routine with the stool softeners that made soft and regular bm's as before surgery. You may want to up the stool softener a little since the pain meds can cause harder bm's.
