Yeah, fissures are common. Here's something you may find interesting- Approximately 700,000 people in the United States receive a diagnosis or treatment for anal fissures each year. I'm curious as to how many it is world wide!
I'm pretty sure those numbers are probably going to continue to rise since many of us got our fissures from eating poorly. This is a fast food world we are living in. I've noticed the amount of users/ people viewing in this forum has seemed to increase a lot over the past year.
