Dawn, I am so happy that you are able to move on completely healed and hopefully the whole ordeal becomes a distant memory.
Thanks for all the support you have given others.
Take care.

You will be so badly missed Dawn. You are a lovely, kind lady who has given so much good advice to everybody.
What on earth is everyone going to do without you??
I wish you all the luck in the world and hope that you are never bothered by fissure problems again.
Take care xx

I think it's good to try to put this period of Pain in your life behind you. Thanks again. Good luck.

Thank you Dawn! I haven't been on this boardie for a while, but I highly appreciate your support and advice you give to everyone. I hope to have a happy life from now on like you do now, and will follow your every step to success after the LIS, which I expect to be having very soon!
One question I have is, how long after LIS were you able to get back to moving again? I have school and I can't afford to miss 2 weeks and fall behind!

Hey Ducky,
It's good to hear you have decided to get the LIS. I honestly think you won't regret it and you will get your life back :) Did you see a well experienced CRS yet? I know the last time we talked (I think),if I'm remembering correctly- you were going to use a general surgeon? Don't forget all the questions Ducky! No matter who you decide to let do your LIS. It's really important to find someone who is well experienced! :)
I needed the full two weeks to recover. I did have the skin tag removed also. You may be able to return to school sooner, but history has shown on here with most folks that recovery can vary and you also don't need to push yourself. Sacrificing a couple of weeks could give you a better shot at healing quicker. I think it's a good idea to stay off your butt while it's so swollen from the surgery. Any extra pressure can't help in my opinion.
Is it possible to get your work in advance so that you can work on it at home while recovering? That way you could lie down instead of setting up in class. You can also do your baths and keep up with the diet- which is really important while healing.
Good Luck! Image

Yup, I found a colorectal surgeon in my area. And I will definitely use all your advice that you have given to us. :D Really happy that you are able to move on and enjoy life now!
I agree, I think taking a week off might be good enough to let your butt rest. Getting the work early is a good idea too. Image
Thanks for everything, Dawn! Your words are always helpful. Image
P.S. You can call me Annie!
