scar tissue and rose hip oil

Postby workingonit » 11 Jan 2012, 16:44

Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with using something to help lessen the scar tissue of the fissure after it heals.
I've started using rose hip oil on my episiotomy scar and it does seem to be helping to loosen it up a bit. Of course it could just be the oil working to soften the skin, and have nothing to do with the vitamin C in the rose oil. I've heard that vitamin E helps scars too.
I just wondered if this would help prevent re-tearing...

it takes a looooong time to heal a fissure, thus no matter what ointments u use, just rem to take ur fiber moderately, drink lots of water to make sure that ur stools are always soft, in every of ur bms.
for myself i take vit c for healing, prune juice for softening, magnesium oxide for softening and also relaxing of spasms.
for scare tissure, i don't think it is too much of a concern unless it prevents u from healing properly. if it's so, then u probably nd to go back to CRS for LIS and/or fissuretomy...
these are my opinions
