Hi Guys,
Just wondering can someone give me an idea to help stop the burning after a BM. My spams have stopped but now I have this awful burning for hours after BM. Its driving me nuts, Im using retogestic but no good not helping the burning only making it worse, the pharmacist gave me daktacort cream today to see if it will help, no help today but ill keep trying for a few days.
Advice please on what to use!!!!!

I do the sitz bath every day no good for the burning. I used to find it great with the spasms..
Ill try and get some lidocain...

I have the same problem. Just recently self diagnosed. I am so scared about having to deal with this issue life long!!

Vchil, don;t stress out about fissure, stress and Anxiety causes more problems then any help. Take a deep breath and accept it and do your best to heal this and i am sure you will. All the best.

Something I found helpful was to drink peppermint tea. It has a soothing effect on all of the lining of the GI tract. I even have some peppermint capsules (which are more concentrated so they work a lot better!) and they soothe everything down and even make my throat cold and makes me burp minty. With that and my nifedipine cream every night and every morning I feel a lot more soothing and dont have as much stinging and no burning anymore after my BM. But strangeworldaf is right, anxiety and stress can cause your tummy to get tense up and cause you to have another difficult BM. So a little exercise and relaxation goes a long ways :)

Ive been using daktacort cream for the last few days. I have to say today was a big improvement not a whole pile of burning thank god.. I also did some acupuncture today, don't know if it will help but Ill try. She said I was very run down and that has an effect on the healing of the fissure also so Im uping the anti on the vitamins...
