Young and in Pain

Postby RubyKnight » 11 Oct 2012, 09:47

Hello I am Ruby and I am 21 years old. When I was 16 I got an anal fissure, which I didnt know at the time. After about 3 months it healed itself, however five years later I have again developed an extremely painful fissure. I am enrolled in full time post secondary education and I find myself having a hard time making it through classes due to the pain and always having to sit down at tables and desks. This has only been going on for 2 months now, but it is negatively impacting my life and I want to be done with it.

Hi Ruby,
Is there any way you could take a small cushion into class with you? If any one were to ask, you could always say it was for your back or something.
Are you taking any kind of stool softener? It really helps to. Also remember to drink plenty. Over the counter pain killers will help to take the edge off.
If you haven't already done so, go and see your doctor, and get referred to a proper crs.
All the best
