A little trick for starting a BM

Postby roadscholar » 12 Oct 2012, 11:42

I am recovering from an anal fissure that has come and gone, for the last 25 years. This last episode has been my worst, to date. I had major bleeding for over two weeks, with every BM. Currently, I am at 5 days without any blood on the TP and 10 days without major blood in the toilet bowl. I have learned that one of the worst things I can do, when recovering from an AF, is to strain to have a BM. I work 40-60 hours a week and I am often stressed and in a hurry. This makes it hard to just sit on the throne and let gravity take its course. I stumbled onto something that works, quite by accident. A few days ago, while waiting on gravity, I blew my nose, while enthroned. I noticed a relaxing of the sphincter and a push, which seemed to come from above the anal canal. My BM started immediately, with no bleeding. I have been using the same method, since I discovered it and it has worked every time. Anyway, I hope this is of some help to somebody.
