i had hard poop today twice and just a little blood on toilet paper.i dont know why it was so bulky, because i only eat soft stuff like oatmeal and fish and lentils...im gonna stop taking metamucil.i think it caused the bulk.it hurts to sit after the hard poops today. i called my doc for referal to gi specialist and they said no one in my area takes patients that dont have insurance like myself.so she is supposed to call me maybe tomoro with a referal to gi doc thats an hour away.does anyone think my poop will be softer if i stop using metamucil since i only eat soft stuff.i drank lots of water with metamucil but i did take three teaspoons aday.i get plenty of fiber from oatmeal and lentils...

I use the Metamucil 'cookies'. Found and find them much easier to work with, and so much tasty! I know take one and a half a day (having built up from a quarter of a biscuit). I drink two 8oz glasses of water with them. I probably drink about 5 more glasses during the day. I also am not a big eater, and I do not stray from my path of eating.
Good luck!

im just gonna eat soft foods that have natural fiber. im done with metamucel.i think metamucil is evil and may be working for the fissure monsters. i also learned that if you start high doses of metamucil and soft fibery foods all at once then it will sound like a bull frog is chasing you around all day.

it is trying to heal again. i have been slacking on the hot baths.had a couple bulky poops yesterday that made me walk like a penguin.i was surprised it didnt bleed. i think it was the metamucil that gives me random bulky poop, because i only eat soft stuff. i stopped taking metamucil yesterday, so hopefully that will help. do you know any other foos that have insoluble fiber in them?i saw doc a couple weeks ago and he had me change my diet and said to use metamucil and suppositories. i only used suppositories for a couple days, because i dont think they help, they are just for pain. i started useing coconut oil in mornings instead.i was good for a week on that diet then had a re tear. i think it was the metamucils fault. its been trying to heal for a few days now, gonna see how it goes without metamucil and just eat soft foods that have fiber naturally.im supposed to get a referal today to set up an appointment with a gi specialist though. i will be interested in talking to specialist.
