I'm not sure what to do now... my CRS said use it if I need it. I just haven't felt like I've needed it but perhaps it keeps everything loose and helps to prevent a re-tear.

Had an IBS attack in the night due to work pressures and went into spasm. Still in spasms now! Not in any pain, I just have that uncomfortable pressurised feeling.
I haven't opened up the fissure, which has been healed for well over a week now.
I have used some Nitro which has helped a bit. Starting to worry I'm going to struggle to relax and get over this whole cycle.

Spasms without pain? Usually my spasms would cause lots of pain. Sounds like its only mild spasms you got.
Anyway, you already know the way out of this. Keep on the nitro, and relax. Say no, instead of stressing over work, and try not to worry. Easier said than done I know. But try to be happy you beat the fissure instead. I would be thrilled to be where you are at!

Don't worry, it's hurting now alright. Throbbing like a roid or something. Had an absolutely horrendous night with IBS. Not been like this for about a year - just thank god it never happened when the fissure was really bad or I'd be in agony.

I think that's a good sign JHH. Mine has been like this since it 'healed'. I'm only in spasms because I was on the toilet most the night, then twice this morning.

I rarely get spasms now. That is a good sign, I think :-)
Now its just burning and prickling for some hours after BM. Without the spasms, my pain is only like 3/10.
How are you doing now?

Better now, had pain until around 2pm. Funny it seems to die off if I forget about it... all in my head if you ask me!
Hopefully I'll have a much better day tomorrow without an IBS attack :)

I had a fissure and piles surgery 5 days back, and the doctors had put two stitches on my annal opening. I am on pain killer injection for the last 5 days. After 4/5 days I have started feeling the intense pain. the pain killer works at day, but at night it goes down and morning is really horrible. Can someone suggest how long this pain will be there and what precaution I have to take. Do I require more pain killer

Silu, I would start a new thread with that one.
Crackinup, mine is nearly the same boat, I have been on nifedipine for 2 weeks and feel good, but don't know if I am healed. I will see the 20th
so happy 4u
