Has anyone else found a bump on the anus?

Postby Greyson » 09 Mar 2013, 07:09

Hi! I've had a anal fissure since last April and for the most part it's healed pretty well after months of pure hell. Now when I wash up I've noticed a bump where my tear used to be. It's not painful and does not hurt to have a BM...there is also no blood at all. So I was wondering if anyone else experienced this? Is this possible scar tissue from the tear healing or what they call a skin tag? It does not feel loose tho but rather like a little hard bump. I figured if anything with it changes I will have to go back to my Doctor to be safe but it does not bother me right now. Anyone else?

I have a bump too. Was told its scar tissue from the fissure, although mine still hasnt healed.

That's what I was kinda thinking but did you always have a bump or did your just show up later? Did your doctor tell you if the bump will ever go away? Thanks for answering!! :D

It came about 3 weeks after I got the fissure.
At first I thought it was a hem. Then I found out it was the fissure itself, that changed into a lump. I saw a doctor, and he said scar tissue.
I dont know if it will go away sorry.

Probably a skin tag or what they call a sentinel pile. They don't usually go away, but they can become smaller after the fissure heals. . Most doctors advise leaving them alone.

My crs didn't even want to pry my butt open too hard. He just saw the sentinel pile and said yep must be a fissure.

Ugh, they don't go away? This whole time I've been checking up on mine to see if they've gotten smaller, thinking that when the fissure heals (which is of course ages away) they will go away.
If there's two of them in separate locations, does that mean you have two fissures?

[b]I'm not sure what a Sentinel Pile is. My bump is hard tho not soft like the skin tags are suppose to be. Is everyone's elses hard?

G, bumps could signal anything, from scar tissue to residue left from the ointments we all used. If they don't bother you, don't bother them. If its there after after a few months or grow in size, I'd have it checked out...otherwise enjoy your pain free but ordeal.
