I am panicking and I don't know if I should be?

Postby Erosindra » 03 Mar 2014, 22:59

So, since around the middle of December I have had a pretty easy time pooping. No pain, and no constipation. A week or so ago, I had been feeling teeny bit of pain and a bit swollen afterwards, but no blood or anything and it went away after a short while.

Well, just 10 minutes ago I passed a relatively soft stool with no pain, so I was thinking that things were all good. Until I wiped, and saw that there was a blood clot and a lot of bright red blood. For a split second I thought that I was on my menstrual cycle! It was really panicking. There was also blood in the toilet water. But after I wiped away the initial blood, no more blood has come out.

I am really scared, I've never seen that much blood all at once, not even during a down time where passing stool caused great pain. Should I be worrying? Or could it just be that a clot came out or something, and resulted in the blood?

I don't think you should panic... That never helps. Can you call your doctor in the morning?

I'm sorry you are going through this! Try to relax and take it easy.

Could be a Hemhorroid. Definitely nothing to panic about. Red blood is fresh blood.

If you are worried though, see your doctor.
