What have AFs done to your sex life? Are you still able to have one? I am afraid to even move the skin back there!

well my sex life never involved anything in that area to begin with. but even so, there's not much going on in that department for me. We also have a 20 month old so things weren't back to normal yet and then I got this damn fissure and the last thing on my mind is sex. for goodness sakes, sometimes I can't even find a comfortable position to sit!!

As a male I frequently had the urge, the 3 hours where I had no pain or when I started to feel better. I was having pain from my tailbone to my testicle and sex only aggravated it.

I should have been more clear...I was not referring to anything involving that area directly. I was thinking more that because everything is connected, I don't see how intercourse in particular would not affect/move rectal tissue shared by that area. Not to mention no interest when in so much pain! Glad I'm not the only one...

Mine is pretty non-existant right now. I am a female been suffering with AF for 11 months now. The last 4 months have seen me experiencing a constant discharge which leaves me feeling unclean, not interested in any intimacy. Anal sex has never been something I'd be interested in. But at the moment, that also goes for plain old regular sex too. Luckily I have an understanding husband!

I abstained for months at the height of it all!....The pain radiated everywhere....Happy to say, it all goes back to pretty much normal once you start to feel better :)

What's a sex life?

Haven't had sex during the last 6 months. I've had fissure-problems on and off before, and sex was never a problem. however, now that i know how bad the fissurepain can get, i don't dare to have sex anymore is it possible that it can retear from having sex? (vaginal of course!!!) I sure miss the intimacy, but i just can't risk having a retear now that i'm feeling so much better. I woud be heartbroken can't take another 6 months off fissure-hell!

What about other forms of intimacy? My DH is happy with any version of play these days. Like body parts not directly attached to the fissure, you know?
