I have given up

Postby hurtinend » 12 Aug 2015, 15:44

Decided my pain is mostly stress related. I'm okay at night but I have searing pain most of the day. Cannot sit, cannot walk much, spasm is intense, oh and did that alien stick a rod off fire up my....

As a contractor I have zero benefits I'm okay with that, I can live for 6 months before I use up my line of ummmmm credit.

Take Advil, and Restoralax,, Nitro, you will be fine.....okay, bye, been doing that for years, my superfood diet doesn't seem to help either, that sitz bath helps, until I get off of it, do I sit on it all day and night while the bills pile up?

That's okay, rant away, I feel your pain and frustration

I have some health insurance but I can't find solutions, I just shift around with so called specialists who have no answers. Currently on the wait list for colonoscopy.

It's really hard to tell your boss that you have such bad ass pain you can't think, sit, stand, concentrate. I have sucked it up for a long time. Today was the last straw, couldn't cope with my workload and my current pain, so I told the bosses I couldn't work for a while

Who knows where this goes. I know stress makes it worse, every time I think I have this evil behind me, it returns, this time worse than ever.

What plan are you following for help?

I am gunna give you a quick version of whats happend and where i am at now started in first week of June had alot of pain during a Bm then started to notice large amount of blood i tryed not worry figured it would pass couple days later i was at work and it litteraly dropped me so i went to the Emergence room they did a bunch of test couldnt find anything so they got me a colonoscopy the next i would say i was lucky but i am not haha the doc said i had a fisutla and sent me on the way with antibiotic told me to call him in 2 weeks if its not better. The pills did nothing so he then referd me to a surgeon was suppose to see him in August but after 2 more trips to the ER they moved my appointment to july 10th that doctor said he didnt see anything and sent me off witn nitro and lido cream and me a fallow up wiith another surgeon. The cream did not help i went last monday to the new surgeon told her about me blacking out and that the pain literally made me think about suicide. She gave me. Diltazem and lido told me its a fissure but she cant see it
I complained that i cant really take much more of this pain and she promised me if this dont help in 3 weeks she will put me under and do a exam. Yay more waiting i know i havent been waiting as long as alot of other but i cant explain the pain i have i tell the doctors it feels like razor blades stuck in my butt and there constantly moveing uhhhggg but i dont have to tell you. I am sure you know

In fairness to doctors, this is a very difficult condition to treat. Some fissures get covered with scar tissue and are not always seen in an exam.

I have used the creams on and off for years. I guess they help some people. It is the standard protocol offered. They do nothing for me.

Botox and surgery are the next steps, those scare me. Even here in Canada with supposed great healthcare, it's a waiting game.

I agree i dont blame the doctors i just speek out of frustration. So far i have not seen any releif from the creams. The surgeon told me that there is a risk of not being able to controll BMs any more scared me a little but she told me thats only about 2% of the time so considering the pain il take my chances with the surgery I really would rather skip the botox hear alot of the time it comes back i would rather just take the risk and get it done! Do you need to do a colonoscopy before you can get the botox ?

I guess so, I finally got a referral to a real CRS, have not seen him, they called me and said colonoscopy is next. Probably just ruling out anything life threatening, or Chrons, colitis.

Tick tick tick

Hi guys please don't give up, I m in the same level of dealing with this devil , but somehow I can disagree and be optimistic , I still believe that changes sometimes helps , I have been reading from this forum and I find one of this boardies had tried different kind of food just an example pecan or orange juice which is not good for me , but it works for him, so we are different indeed thank God our body has self healing system it just take time unfortunately some of us have to wait longer and suffer more than others , yes I m in the same boat no job no good insurance either I had a colonoscopy done yesterday but we have to pay $500 in front, the bills still coming and I can not afford to pay anymore . anyway I have to fight to survive however the fissure still hunting me I'm not going to give up , hold on there my friends, you will never know one day all of this trauma will be an old dream . I wish a fast recovery for all of us
