Yesterday I had my second visit to a doctor since the beginning of my AF experience 1.5 years ago.

He took a look and told me he did not see any fissure. He told me that I had very small internal hemorrhoids.

I almost cancelled my appointment because I was so nervous of what he would do and possible injure me during the exam. That was not the case and I am so glad that I went.

Having this reassurance helps with the mindset which is a large percentage of dealing with this problem. I feel that after a year and a half I can finally say that I am getting better.

That's good news! Congrats!
And yes mindset is such an important element of any long-term healing.
