Don't get the pills, be sure you have to take so many of them
Get the powder. Then start with one teaspoon between breakfast and lunch, and then half teaspoon between lynch and dinner. This will give you about 8 grams. You don't want this to be your only source of fiber. Eat fruits and veggies, some oatmeal and you will get the daily value. But don't overdo the fiber because it can back you up. Just enough to ensure bulk, softness and easy passing. The way you take it is pour very little water or juice in a small mason jar, then put the powder in. Close the jar and quickly shake 5 times, don't stir, then drink immediately. Don't delay shaking or drinking because it will expand so quickly and become like gum. After that, drink juice or water to add up to a cup. You can experiment with dosage according to what consistency is your stool. If too much, it may become too bulky and you don't want that. The reason I take it between meals is because fiber prevents some important vitamins and minerals to be absorbed fully by the body. So I give the nutrients from my meals a chance to be absorbed without disturbance and I take the additional fiber by itself.
