http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GlutenThere's a lot of gluten free (gf) blogs, websites and Facebook pages to find good recipes for baked goods like cookies, brownies, and breads. These are normally made with wheat which contains gluten.
Some snacks and meals that are gf and are really good:
Stir fry with whole grain rice and veggies....use gluten free teriyaki sauce
potatoes and sweet potatoes- baked or mashed
Any veggies- fresh, boiled, pan fried using oil or gluten free sauce, baked
Any kind of fruit
Any kind of nuts
Butter and margarine
Veggies and hummus
Rice chex cereal
Wraps- gluten free! Usually can find these at a natural food store with a frozen section
In the wrap we use rice, veggies, beans, sweet potato, avocado, hummus, greens, cucumbers, sprouts, cheddar, pickles
I love ruby red grape fruits
Smoothies- frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, banana and oj in a blender
Salads- use any veggies, cheese and dressings you want. Just NO croutons
Quinoa and veggies
Sandwiches using gluten free bread- gf sandwich bread usually sucks, the bagels are usually better.
Summer rolls- use rice paper/rice wraps, cut up lettuce and veggies and make yourself a wrap
When you feel better there's really good spicy food gf like chili, Thai food, and spicy stir fries
Reese's peanut butter cups are gluten free!
Rice cakes
Breakfast sandwich using gf English muffins. Eggs are gf!
Chips and salsa
