Medicine for hemorrhoid that doesn't hurt fissure

Postby William2 » 27 Apr 2017, 15:21

I haven't had obvious fissure symptoms for a few weeks, but I still can't sit down for very long due to what I think is a hemorrhoid. The discomfort sometimes interferes with my ability to function (even standing), so I really need to find something to reduce the pain that won't interfere with any healing that the fissure may still need to do. Obviously anything that reduces blood flow to the region would be bad. Is there any medicine that can help without hurting the fissure?
8/09 - 12/10: fissure, cured by LIS/fissurectomy
1/17 - present: fissure/hemms, healed but pain remained, 3 CRSs (nifedipine, infrared coag) were no help, cold dilating >= 1" helped but still have pain when sitting

Doctors sometimes prescribe lidocaine gel for fissure pain. I assume that would help with hemorrhoid pain too?
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Unfortunately, I have a reaction to lidocaine. It makes me feel very loopy and drugged.

You could try colodial silver I find it really does shrink my hems. Also found some great horse chestnut and bilberry cream that is great from the organic pharmacy. One of the best creams I have tried for hems

So is it not ok to use Anusol if you also have a fissure?
