OK. So my butt is feeling slightly better hemmie-wise. There is no more stinging, but there is a dull, achy soreness. (Fissure-wise, I'm still feeling pretty darn good since the botox.)
Since this is a new sensation for me, my questions are:
Were your roids achy sore?
Could this be this skin tag finally getting to me?
It's so hard to tell where the pain is coming from precisely, even with a mirror.

When ever I developed a hemmie it seemed like the pain was quite acute and bothersome. But I know talking to other people it was more of a dull ache that worsened after going to the bathroom and then got better during the day. That being said, when I got a skin tag my first impression was that it was a hemorrhoid and asked the doctor several times and she told me it was a sentinel pile from the fissure. Which as it healed left a skin tag.
Do you think it is internal or external?

I think it's external. It's not outside, but it is certainly close to the outside There is an irritated lump about the size of a pinhead that I can sometimes feel and that causes pain when I touch it. But it is hard to tell if the pain radiates from there or if the dull achy feeling is connected to something else.

It sort of reminds me of the abscess I had in Dec. (which scares me to say), only it doesn't feel connected to the fissure and it is not quite as sore. It does seem to localize around the area where my roid is though.

It could be in the transitional part of the anus too. I have had one in that area (not really external but not far enough in to be above the dentate line either).
I wonder if they could just excise the bump-it is probably a clot that has formed there. It will go away on its own but it takes a long time (at least in my experience).
When do you go back for a recheck?

July 20 is my next appt with the CRS.

I will check with him to see if he can tell what it is and what can be done. It might be a clot. Hopefully, it's not another abscess.

I tell ya, if it's not one thing it's another. I went straight from fissure pain to roid rage. Though I do prefer the roid rage, I'd rather not have anything wrong with my bum.

I know the feeling. The last 4 years have been nothing but butt issues. I know my insurance company must be wondering when the heck I am going to stop filing claims for this stuff!

Extremely annoying for me. I have done rubber band ligation and infrared coagulation with some success, but I don’t know how to cure the piles.

What about sclerotherapy? That helped me for awhile.
What grade are yours? Do you think you might get surgery at some point?
I do take some supplements that are supposed to strengthen capillaries and veins and I take a few things that are supposed to help keep clots from forming.
