Yes, I had it in June. I was so happy to get it over with. I had the anal fissure about a month before the surgery and I was so tired of it taking over my life! I was in pain every time I had to go to the bathroom and really didn't want to eat anything because I knew it was going to come out at some point. The surgery only took about 20-30 minutes. I was totally comfortable in the operating room, they warmed the blankets and sheets, had pillows galore, and I almost felt pampered. I was put to sleep quickly, when I woke up, I had no pain. There was some gauze packing, which I removed later that night, minimal bleeding. I did have to take pain meds, but not until a day later. I went back to work after two weeks. At that time I was taking one pain pill a day. - no pain now!
