well color me merpug!
ravi, i live in the DC metro area too......
i went to Dr. Thomas Wright in Annandale, VA and he works with the Inova Fairfax Hospital.
i was seeing him for at least 3 years and well, i lucked out and was able to avoid LIS but still had a colonoscopy under his care and it was perfect.
he is also on the top lists of CRS in the VA/MD/DC area and if you wanted just in case another opinion, look him up.
i love dr. wright.
fwiw, i have heard good things of paul savoca who is in your doc's office too. he is highly recommended as well but i personally haven't deal with him.

Dear Ravi,
I agree...You have to go on your vibes for this one ! I have seen 2 CRS,s too, the first was ignorant and kept checking his watch the second made me feel so much more relaxed, i really feel this is half the battle !
I think you will know which surgeon is the one for you...
Goodluck !
God bless :tinky:

Happyass .. I had been to thomas wright for second opinion. Unfortunately he is on one year sick leave so I saw Dr. william Seid.
At Colvins office I was checked by otchy and Colvin. Few years back one of my Friend needed to have surgery for fistulla or something dont know exact. He was already operated in the emergency one by a doctor and few months later the problem came back and the doctor said that he must go another surgery. He had a very good experience about Colvin

I had an appointment today and they are going to call me to schedule LIS on Monday. Yesterday was the best day no pain nothing. Today I had little constipation but no other issues by 2.00 pm I dont know what happened and I am in terrible pain. Just waiting for the day to end so I can stop work. I hope the LIS is schedule soon now.

Thanks for your responses
Yesterday was really bad and it has continued today. I had BM in the evening and I thought I was going to pass out. Today after my BM I have taken 3 - 4 baths and then applied Nitro. The pain has not stopped but the side effect of nitro has kicked in. Since I am hyperthyroid and I applied nitro my heart beats are off the roof now. I have made the house temperature to 68deg F and am sitting right below a fan which is in full speed. THis kind of helps me to reduce the palpitations.
I have some pain killers Celebrex which do help in releiving the pain. My CRS has said that 7 days before the surgery I should not be taking any pain killers as it can cause bleeding during the surgery.. Regardless I took one yesterday night.
